Statistics

StatisticsIn most technical disciplines the availability of reliable, comprehensive and quality statistics is vital to good management. It is recognised in the waste industry that available statistical data on waste quantities and types has been poor in the past perhaps with the exception of household and municipal wastes where statutory recycling / composting requirements have ensured the maintenance of reasonable statistical systems. Shortcomings have been recognised, and Government together with the waste industry is making progress in improving the situation.
