Recycle Now launches its new consumer website (10/06/2008)

Banbury, England, UK:  Recycle Now, the national recycling campaign for England, has re-launched its consumer website, www.recyclenow.com during Recycle Week (2-6 June 2008) .

The re-launched site has an updated and more contemporary look, but in addition there are three additional sections, 'Recycling Symbols' - provides information on the various recycling symbols that appear on packaging; 'What happens to your recycling' - outlines exactly what happens to recycling once it is collected from the kerbside and 'News snippets' - providing up-to-date relevant recycling news.

The new website is aimed as a "one-stop shop" for consumers who are new to recycling and also regular recyclers. The site continues to provide useful information on how to start recycling at home, at school, at the office and in the garden but with a "refreshed, more streamlined look and feel".

The website is very popular and currently receives up to 200,000 visitors every month.

A  great bonus is that visitors can find out more about the fascinating journey of waste from the recycling bin onwards.  This should further encourage recycling.

The Recycle Now campaign is funded by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme). WRAP helps individuals, businesses and local authorities to reduce waste and recycle more, making better use of resources and helping to tackle climate change.
