'Together' climate coalition celebrates first birthday (13/05/2008)

Banbury, England, UK:  WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) announced today that it has become a partner of the UK’s biggest climate campaign, 'Together'.

The campaign is described as a unique coalition of business leaders, brands, government and civil society organisations that are dedicated to helping consumers ‘go green’; and there is a celebration of its first anniversary at a special climate change summit at Lambeth Palace in London today.

Together is independently approved by The Climate Group which is an international charity working with big business and government to help solve climate change.

Liz Goodwin, CEO of WRAP comments:

"Making it easier for consumers to cut waste and reduce their carbon footprint is at the heart of what WRAP does. That common bond with the Together campaign makes us natural partners and I am delighted we will now be part of that campaign."

In addition to WRAP, several new partners are joining to the campaign today.  These include The National Trust, Business in the Community (BITC), Coca Cola, Warner Bros, and MYSpace.
