 | One effect of the manufacture of goods and the provision of services is that natural resources, which in the environment tend to arise as the result of geological concentration processes, are dispersed far and wide. Hence the waste materials that inevitably result from production and consumption tend to also be widely distributed across local, regional, national, or wider-scale economic areas. These dispersed material resources have to be collected, transported, sorted and aggregated to re-concentrate them in sufficient quantities to enable the practicable and economic treatment / further processing of those materials. The collection and transport news is summarised below and you can use the links provided to gain further insight into these issues. |
