Local Planning and Strategies

Local Planning and StrategiesLocal policy in England, on both waste strategy and waste planning, is in the main developed by local authorities and waste disposal authorities through consultation with business, other bodies, communities and individuals. Local waste policies are based on the framework laid down by Central Government as stated in the national waste strategy transposed through Regional waste strategies and planning policies. Local waste strategies and local waste planning documents have to pay due regard these Regional policies.
