New Website for ECO2’s eco-friendly plastic recycling (14/11/2007)

San Franscisco:  ECO2 Plastics, Inc. , the eco-friendly recycling company that is changing the way plastics are recycled, earlier this week announced that it has launched its new website.

The site publicises a modern process for recycling plastics that has been researched and developed by the company.

ECO2 says that it recycles plastic using a new technique that prevents the contamination and discharge of water - used for cleaning in conventional recycling processes.  In fact the patented process does not use a drop of water.

Instead the company combines a biodegradable solvent with liquid carbon dioxide in a closed loop system.  The solvent cleaning agent is continually recycled.

The company originally looked at, further researched and developed a technique for recycling HDPE to arrive at an effective process for recycling PET bottles.

Following years of research, the company is now in full scale production in California and says that it has plans to develop a further 10 plants in the US within 5 years.

ECO2 recyles plastic to produce PET flake and says that it is odor-free and contaminant-free to 100 parts per million.  Under the company’s quality controlled process, every 1,000 pounds is tested for intrinsic viscosity, melt flow, density, moisture content and PVC content to yield a high quality output.

The company says that it will continue to provide corporate, financial and technology updates on the new website as available.
