Waste Planning, Policy and Permits

Waste Planning, Policy and PermitsTo achieve a degree of independence in decision making and for administrative convenience, the UK Government splits waste planning under planning legislation from waste planning matters under environmental legislation. This section treats planning for wastes as an integrated whole, dealing with all aspects. Municipal wastes have received a considerable amount of attention in recent years, though the substantially larger commercial and industrial waste sector also needs to be effectively catered for through the planning process, as economic production and efficiency are reliant on a strategic network of quality waste and resource management facilities. The waste planning news is summarised below and you can use the links provided to gain further insight into planning issues.
